DIDN’T LIKE

Would not recommend; no redeeming qualities, likely only finished only because I felt I needed to.

IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER

StarFullStarFullStarEmptyStarEmptyStarEmpty

There are good & bad things, but slightly more bad; did not relate to the story; did not relate to the characters; grammar, dialogue or writing style is confusing or doesn’t hold my interest; one-dimensional secondary characters

LIKED IT

StarFullStarFullStarFullStarEmptyStarEmpty

enjoyed reading the book and it held my interest. I may consider it ‘cute’, ‘witty’, ‘funny’, ‘spunky’ or a ‘summer time read’. It nice story but may forget about it in few months’ time. Common flaws: one-dimensional secondary characters, clichés, feeling as though the story is incomplete (e.g. ending not as good as it could have been, unsettled drama between characters, missing an emotional connection to the story/characters)

REALLY LIKED IT

Positive attributes of 3-star rating but either: had deeper plot, well-rounded characters, and/or engaged my emotions more; would recommend; left book satisfied and feeling proud to own and have on bookshelf.

AMAZING & WOULD RECOMMEND

Like my 4-star rating but add in that I am having a hard time turning off my emotions to be critically unbiased in my review. Story that’s going to stick with me for a while; I may recommend to everyone or keep this as a secret-book find all to myself.
